The Keep

Highest beach houses in Point Lookout - perfect for relaxing holidays. The Keep has three individual, architect designed houses planned for holiday enjoyment with fabulous ocean views across a vast area of the Coral Sea. Take in the sights of the off shore rock formations to the whole of the east coast of Moreton Island and the historic South Passage Bar. You can even see back over Moreton Bay to the Glass House Mountains in the distance.

The house design is excellent for family and friends to share. Three (plus) bedrooms and two separate self contained living levels make it easy for family and friends to have separate private areas. Ground level has safe undercover parking, a convenient external shower to use on return from the beach and a lockable entry area that is great for surfboards and beach equipment.

Houses 1 and 3 (top and bottom right) each sleep up to 8 people (3brm, 2bath, 2lounge, 2deck, 2car). Each house has 3 bedrooms and two separate self contained living levels. The first floor has 2 bedrooms (1xqueen, 2xsingle), bathroom, living room (TV/DVD) with a couch that is a single bed, kitchenette, deck and separate laundry off the deck. The second floor has the main deck and lounge room (TV/DVD) , full kitchen, ensuited master bedroom (1xqueen) and a mobile fold down single bed. House 1 also has a nursery adjoining the main bedroom.

The Whale Watching towers are outstanding features of the individual beach houses. The tower is great for drinks at sunset, to enjoy the changing moods of the ocean and the diversity of marine wildlife including the annual migration of humpback whales in winter and spring.

House 2 is a large 4 bedroom house (above left) that can sleep 9 people (4brm, 2bath, 2lounge, 2deck, 2+car). The whale watching tower has a fantastic ocean and island panorama and is the highest floor of any dwelling in the Point Lookout township. The main Level 2 deck has ocean views out to Flat Rock (see image 5 below). All bedrooms have a pleasant and private bushland outlook. Level 1 has a lounge, kitchenette, 2 bedrooms (1xdouble, 1xdouble and 1xsingle), bathroom and separate laundry. Level 2 has the main lounge, kitchen, ensuited main bedroom(1xqueen) and a separate bed room with 2 single beds. Stairs lead from the main deck on this level to the whale watching tower.

Kitchens also have ocean views. The cool breezy design has excellent ventilation with stainless steel ceiling fans in each room and ceiling and wall insulation. Spacious decks with extending tables for outdoor living and entertaining. A timber bench with external power point is provided on Level 2 for easy use with the electric BBQ. Level 2 has the main bedroom with ensuite/2 way bathroom and a queen sized pillow top bed. House 1 has a nursery or parents'retreat off the main bedroom (with fold-down double bed). Level 1 deck. The laundry with dryer is located off the deck. An ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner are also provided. The decks on the lower levels have ocean views Kitchenette on Level 1 is equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle and small refrigerator. Level 1 has two bedrooms with a queen sized bed and two singles. The bathroom has a plunge bath and separate shower. Pleasant dining and open living areas. Kitchen areas all have easy access to the decks for alfresco dining. Comfortable bedrooms with pillow top beds. Tranquil bushland outlook from bedrooms.
